Zoning Board · Meeting of October 7, 2026
Hamilton's Zoning Board of Appeals approved an 18-by-10-foot deck at 13 Cottage Street with only two of its three members present. Chair Bruce Gingrich and member Andrea Philip voted 2-0 in favor after applicant Patrick Ryan chose to proceed rather than wait a month for a full board, saying, "No, I think we should hopefully proceed." Ryan had previously won approval for a larger 24-by-10-foot addition in December 2021 but never built it due to high construction costs. The board also heard from former member William Bowler, who said he wants to rejoin and fill the board's vacant third seat; Gingrich said the Select Board is expected to vote on Bowler's appointment October 19.
Alternate member John Green did not attend.
