Zoning Board · Meeting of January 7, 2026

HAMILTON — The Hamilton Zoning Board of Appeals voted unanimously to continue a hearing on a proposed office and apartment project at 957 Bay Road to March 4, 2026. Chair Bruce Gingrich, board member Andrea Philip and board member Steven Derocher voted 3-0 by roll call to grant the delay after attorney Jill Mann of Mann & Mann Attorneys said applicant Kevin Puopolo needed more time to revise the plan following board concerns about building massing. Mann called the request "necessary" after the holidays slowed the design team, and apologized to abutters who attended expecting discussion.

Gingrich told Mann the project "can't be substantially more detrimental than the current use" and said he expects the plan to be scaled down. The board also approved its December 3, 2025 minutes and noted a separate 59-unit age-restricted housing application for 133 Essex Street remains continued to February 4, 2026.
