Select Board · Meeting of April 27, 2026
Hamilton's Select Board approved a $680,000 cell tower lease sale and a new Council on Aging appointment. The board voted 5-0 to authorize selling its cell tower lease at 577 Bay Road to Blue Sky Towers 4 LLC, with attorney Lee Smith of KP Law pegging the lump-sum payment at about $680,000, closing out a deal that traces back to a 2016 lease with Varsity Wireless. Smith told the board that if the tower operator ever folded, the buyer would have to remove the equipment and restore the site, with no refund owed to the town.
Members also voted 5-0 to appoint Jean Pagliuca, endorsed by Council on Aging Board chair Laura Studley, as an alternate member of that board. Board member Rosie Kennedy argued for keeping a possible fall special town meeting on a Saturday morning, saying evening sessions were "very distressing" for older residents.
